Sensory Room

The newest addition to our school building is our sensory room.  The sensory room is an area where students can explore and develop their senses and their skills.  The room has lights, interactive equipment, a ball pit, a massage pad, a light and sound board, bean bags, weighted blankets, and sight/sound/texture boards.  This room is therapeutic for children with sensory processing disorders.  The room allows for students to calm or stimulate their senses; whether it be visual (sight), tactile (touch), auditory (sound), olfactory (smell), and proprioception (deep pressure).
