Pitt Academy cannot provide the services to these children without the help of others. During the year we receive grants from a number of places. Pitt holds various fund raisers throughout the year. The following are just a few ways we help to support our efforts in providing a education to our "Special Kids".

Pitt Bar-B-Q... It's the Pitt's! And that's tasty news for those who queue up for barbecue. Pitt Academy hosts this annual bash featuring Owensboro-style barbecued mutton, chicken, beef and burgoo. You can eat and enjoy carnival rides, face-painting and more; or get the goods to go. The festival is located on the school grounds, so call 966-6979 or follow the scent of hickory smoke.

Heavenly Pitt Sauce Pitt's Own Secret Recipe

Here's a great way to keep tasting those wonderful flavors of Barbecue Pitt all year round! With the help of the St. Pius X cooking team, we've created our very own Bar-B-Q sauce based on their secret recipe. It's the same sauce served up each year with each meal sold at the barbecue. This is a project that was literally months in the making. Starting with St. Pius X's basic tablesauce recipe, we worked with Southern Dream Foods, our sauce manufacturer, to come up with a barbecue sauce with just the right flavor and just the right zip! Southern Dream Foods manufactures sauces for Makers Mark, Jim Beam, Staten's Barbecue, Mark's Feed Store, and an assortment of restaurants and specialty shops around the country. Once we had the approval of the Louisville Archdiocese and the members of Monsignor Pitt's Family-who, by the way, are extremely excited about the project-it was full-steam ahead. Heavenly Pitt Barbecue Sauce will also be on sale at Bar-B-Q Pitt.
